Sony: No Cell Phone Quad-Core Up to 2013


As many vendors offer a smartphone that will compete with new products quad-core chipset this year, some of them even have been announced at the MWC 2012 event. Well, different strategies instead of the vendor launched from Japan, Sony, associated with the use of four-core processor chip it.


Through a product marketing manager, Stephen Sneeden, said if he will wait until 2013 to launch a smartphone, powered by Quad-core processors such as NVIDIA's Tegra 3.

"We will join with quad-core when we feel that its performance is in conformity with the efficiency of the battery," he said as quoted PULSAonline via Sneeden CNET Asia.

"Now we feel it is not there yet. What we will do in the second half of this year switched to architecture Cortex A15, which we feel exceeds the quad-core architecture today," he continued.

Sony's Xperia smartphone just launched two air-Andriod OS 2.3 Gingerbread that come with carrying dual-core processors. But for the next year, it seems berchipset quad-core smartphone from Sony will be seen, that, as revealed by Sneeder.
