Goodbye Android Market


Google decided to no longer use the name of the Android Market as their digital service. Instead, the Internet giant Google has Play.


Name is synonymous with the Android Market Android users. This makes Google to abandon the name.

Yes, according to Chris Yerga, Google Engineering Director of Google's use of the name of Play aims also to get a warm welcome outside of Android users.

Google Play, will serve as the center of Google's digital service. In it are contained Play Store to replace the Google Android Market, then there is also a facility to buy digital books, music, movies and streaming content.

More fun again, not required if the only Android device to watch movies or listen to songs, visitors only need a browser.

Quoted from the official Google blog Wednesday (07.03.2012), the facility is in Google Play will also be different in some countries. In America all the facilities can be used, in Canada and the United Kingdom only music, books and applications.
