Motorola Product Strategy To Remain The Same After Google Acquisition

A senior Motorola executive, Alain Mutricy said that Motorola Mobility, Inc. (MMI) did not expect changes in its product strategy later after Google acquired for 12.5 billion USD.

As previously reported by Google's acquisition of Motorola approved regulators in the United States and the European Union. Then what about the future of Motorola Mobility post-merger? Alain Mutricy told FierceWireless in an interview, at the MWC 2012 event Barcelona and his company will look the same as at present.

Alain demonstrate Motorola Mobility has an "ongoing business" so everyone should expect continuity in the year 2012. Until the deal at 12.5 billion USD later closed, Google and Motorola are separate companies, with a separate brand as well. Alain did not think there will be many changes to the product roadmap Motorola this year.

Beginning in 2012, Motorola Mobility plans to focus on marketing the product, not to add new devices. According to Alain Mutricy it is done to maintain a balance between consumer demand and competitive pressures. However, future plans Motorola Mobility is committed to produce tablets, by trying to offer Xyboard DROID.

Responding to the statement of Motorola, Andy Rubin, Google's VP of mobile division, said that it would not interfere with Motorola Mobility. And, provide a separate place for the Android team and the Motorola team.
