Sony didn't want to create Android Smartphone quad-core


When the rivals began competing to make an Android phone with quad-core processor, Sony stated not interested. They said it would not release a quad-core until 2013.

Sony Ericsson has just separated from the business phone handsets such as the release of "Xperia S" and "Xperia P", but all with a quad core processor. While rivals such as HTC, LG, Huawei and Samsung are likely to play with Android quad core.

"We will join (make) quad core when we feel the performance is balanced with the efficiency of the battery," the reasons stated Stephen Sneeden, Product Marketing Manager Sony Mobile which quoted from TechRadar on Sunday (04/03/2012).

Sneeden explained that Sony is currently evaluating the performance of quad core. They will release a new estimate similar handsets in 2013 with the ensuring of quality and performance is really great.

Currently, some handsets are quad core processors introduced several vendors and ready to be marketed soon. Like HTC X One, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE and Huawei Ascend D Era Quad.
